Prayer
The fifth chapter of James calls us to share our needs and our praises with each other so that the whole body may be blessed by praising and petitioning the Lord on behalf of others. It also calls the elders to join together to pray over individuals when that’s appropriate.
Accordingly, we have two ways for people who worship with us to communicate items for prayer:
Requests sent to prayer@thedowntownchurch.us will go to the regular prayer groups and to people in the church who have asked to be on the prayer list.
Requests sent to elders@thedowntownchurch.us will be restricted to prayer by the elders.
