Students
D-Groups is for students in grades 6 – 12 at The Downtown Church. We meet on Wednesday nights to connect with one another, learn about Jesus, and serve our city. This year we are working through Desiring God's Your Word is Truth*, a study on seeing all of life from God’s point of view. Topics this year include:
- Can we trust the Bible?
- Who is Satan?
- Why is Jesus the only way?
- What does it mean to be a real friend?
- How should a believer approach media, technology, and athletics?
- Why do people suffer if God is so good?
Every week promises to challenge, equip, and prepare each of us to better live this life of worship and mission. Even if you're not sure what you believe about Jesus - this study is for you. All students are welcome.
When: Wednesday nights at the church office: 6:30pm – 8:00pm.
Format: Most weeks, guys and girls meet in separate small groups. Students gather as one large group once a month to worship and spend time serving on mission somewhere in our city.
Leaders: D-Group leaders are men and women who love Jesus and students. They serve only as a "second" voice to parents, coming alongside students in a humble and helpful posture, to encourage them to live a life for the glory of One and the joy of many.
