Tent City

The Downtown Church has the opportunity to serve the community of Tent City on March 30th. It is easy and fun to participate. All you need to do is prepare some food and sign-up so we know you are coming. Singles, couples, and families are all welcome.
Tent City 4 (TC4) is currently located at Holy Spirit Lutheran at 10021 NE 124th ST. Kirkland, WA 98034 and serves 100 homeless people in the our area by providing basic needs and teaching/giving them responsibilities. TC4 ensures accountability within the TC4 program, providing a safe place to stay and encouraging/supporting the residents in holding down employment. To sign up please see the We Join In site at http://www.wejoinin.com/sheets/lwush. Dinner is served at 6:00 PM so please plan to arrive at 5:45 with your food hot and ready to serve. We are encouraged to join the residents for dinner and then we will spend a few minutes cleaning up. We should be finished no later than 7:30.
To donate supplies to TC4 and help meet the ongoing need; below is a list of those supplies. If you would like to donate any of the items and you are not able to help serve please bring them to a Sunday service on or before March 25th and drop them in the box at Information Desk or give them directly to Chris Holmes or Lori Coulter.
- Plastic spoons, paper bowls, paper cups and plates
- Coffee, sugar, creamer
- chili
- fresh fruit
- coats, sweatshirts, socks, underwear for men and women
- laundry detergent
